Garbage.

A great resource for finding artists working with trash found materials is the San Francisco Dump (Recology) Artist in Residency Program. Here is a list of all the artists with links to their work: http://www.sunsetscavenger.com/AIR/artists.htm

One of my favorite artists, Lauren DiCioccio, did a residency there and created embroidered copies of what she found. She takes everyday found objects and brings them into attention by making them out of fabric and thread. I think her work is interesting and exciting.

Another artist I have found working with found objects/trash, is Jean Shin. Jean Shin also works with taking the everyday object and brings it into a new light.
