African Doorlock

In this assignment students will be introduced to wood working techniques and tools.

We will use traditional African door locks as a jumping off point to create a wooden sculpture. This object maybe a wall piece or a free standing sculpture.  

Please address:
Balance ( symmetrical or asymmetrical)
Texture ( must have three different surface variations)
Color ( inherent or added)

Use your list of likes and dislikes to help adorn theses objects.
